As some of you may know i’m quite a big fan of NECA’s Retro Figure Line which started last year. Already i have Nightmare on Elm Street Original Freddy Krueger, Friday The 13th Part 3 Jason Voorhees and Evil Dead II Hero Ash of which i did a review of recently. I am very excited for the line especially after some fairly recent announcements.

As you may recall in July during SDCC NECA revealed that they’ll be doing a Retro Style Snake Plissken from Escape from New York and George Taylor from The Planet of The Apes. Both feature the actors likeness (Kurt Russell and Charlton Heston). I am very pumped for these. Snake will come with his SMG and revolver ( with holsters for both weapons) and a removable jacket . And George Taylor comes with a removable backpack though it’s unclear at this time if they are removable. Both figures are coming out around November and i would love to get them.

Also They will be releasing a Retro Ghostface which i am really excited for. I know on the packaging it says Scre4m but it’s Ghostface one of the most iconic horror film villains in recent memory and i am a big fan of Scream. From the latest packaging shot we can see that it comes with a interchangeable hand, voice changer, mobile phone and knife. Also that artwork is to die for it’s beautiful.

Not only that but next year they will be releasing Retro Style Jason from Friday The 13th Part 6 & 7 which i know Jason is in a very bad way in those films so those figures will be great to see. I am going to pick up the Retro Style Friday The 13th Part 5 Jason (Roy) pretty soon and i can’t wait to get him. I am not to sure yet about the part 2 Jason and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Leatherface figure.

UPDATE: Just yesterday (1/9/2014) NECA revealed the artwork for the Retro George Taylor figure and it looks amazing just like all the others i have to praise Jon Wardell  he’s one hell of a great artist !
