I know that this is a highly discussed subject in the collector community. Some people prefer Marvel Legends for the articulation and some prefer Marvel Select for the sculpts and accessories. I have to say I am a big fan of both lines. I know for a fact that I have more Marvel Legends than Marvel Select figures. Even though they can be pretty hard to get hold of here in the UK because of the lack of distribution.

Just last month at Toy Fair both companies revealed a slew of products that have got me really excited for the future of both lines. I feel myself personally torn between both lines, on one end I prefer Marvel Legends because of their character selection and their articulation is outstanding. And on the other hand I prefer Marvel Select for their fantastic sculpts, accessories and bases. Plus I’m mostly a 7-inch figure collector so they fit in very well with the other lines I have collected. Surprisingly Marvel Select figures are quite a bit cheaper than Marvel Legends here in the UK, whereas in the US it’s the other way round.

I have to say both companies have been really improving their face sculpts especially Marvel Legends, though I really like Marvel Selects ones as well and in some instances Select sculpts are better like their MCU Doctor Strange figure is incredible. I have to say I enjoy the thrill of the hunt finding hard to find Marvel Legends,which are cheaper than they are online.

At the end I don’t have a side I like what each line brings to the table and what they offer for collectors. I find it best to get both rather than just one.
