NECA are full of surprises at Toy Fair and this year is no different. The biggest surprise was the reveals of the DC Comics vs Alien and Predator Two Packs.

As some of you may know NECA don’t have the rights to produce 7″ figures of popular characters in retail. Though there is a loophole. NECA were able to release 7″ versions of the Michael Keaton Batman, Christian Bale Batman, Arkham City Harley Quinn and Heath Ledger Joker exclusively at Toys R Us. From what I have heard these two packs won’t be TRU exclusive so folks from different countries can get them.

The two packs that we’ll be getting is a Classic Comic Book Batman vs Joker Alien, Armored Batman vs Predator and Superman vs Alien Warrior and I have to say they all look fantastic and definite must haves. Batman vs Joker Alien will be released in the summer, Superman vs Alien will be released in the fall and Armored Batman vs Predator will be released in the winter later this year.

This line of two packs is inspired by a run of comics produced by DC Comics and Dark Horse. NECA have set their sights on doing more comic book inspired crossover two packs and I’m really excited on the prospect of what other crossovers they’ll be producing figures.

It’s a great that this loophole exists because we can get some of the most popular comic book characters done by NECA without the hassle of the big name companies that hold the master license.
