Today marks the four day Star Wars Celebration. As all of you may know I am a very big Star Wars fan. I have seen all the films minus Rouge One though I plan on seeing it soon. I’m collecting the action figures again and I love playing the pinball tables.

Before the event Hasbro surprised us with two big reveals for the 6″ Black Series Line. They revealed a Rey with Speeder Set and Luke with Landspeeder Set. I have to say these look pretty sweet. I passed on the TIE Fighter that they did to tie in with the release of The Force Awakens because I simply didn’t have the space for it.

It’s very nice to see Hasbro continue the vehicle line with smaller vehicles which are more shelf friendly. Unfortunately the Speeder Bike from Return of The Jedi and the Han and Tauntaun set along with the Luke and Wampa fetch crazy aftermarket prices here in the UK.

You can see that the Rey is brand new sculpt with double jointed knees, different arms and some great soft good incorporated into the figure. It looks like she comes with a new head as well. Her accessories are listed as a removable mask, staff and satchel. It also appears that there’s some function with the Speeder itself with removable panels. I’m not sure if the actual mask over Rey’s head is removable or not but it would be pretty cool to see if we get a new head beneath it. Also it comes with a themed base and will cost around $60.

The Luke and Landspeeder set is a bit different. It looks like this Luke has a different paint job on his trousers and a brand new headsculpt which looks pretty cool. Accessory wise he’ll come withe same binoculars and lightsaber that he originally came with along with a hat and goggles, slugthrower rifle and a removable poncho. It looks to have the same feature as Rey’s Speeder with removable panels. It’ll also cost $60 and come with a themed base.

Both will be released in the Autumn of this year. I would absolutely love to get these figures. Especially the Landspeeder one so I can have Luke and Ben Kenobi riding it like they did in the film and it will work very well for dioramas. I can definitely see them releasing more sets like these down the line. I would love to see a Snowspeeder down the line.

I know that there will be more reveals over the next four days and if anything more interesting is released you can be sure I’ll be writing about it.
