A gripe of many collectors is when a part of the figure snaps off and when you repair it with glue you can no longer use that part of articulation. Well fear not there’s a way to repair them !

If a figure has snapped at a ball joint they are rather easy to repair keeping the articulation intact. What you have to do is drill a single small hole in each part of the broken/snapped joints where they go together. Then in one of the parts with a drilled hole simply insert a small dowel, a piece of a twisty tie or metal and then your done ! I

I have done this many times with my broken figures and it works very well indeed. It all really depends on how deep you drill the holes.

Before I pick up a figure I always check the paint job of the ones available to make sure I get a good clean paint job on the figure, sadly in some cases in stores you don’t get a choice even more so online. I’m no good at painting eyes properly though I know there’s plenty of videos and whatnot on that. With the other parts of the figure are much easier for me.

Especially the skin parts of the figure, I highly recommend the Citadel paints which are widely available at crafting and hobby shops and are well worth having on hand and with them I’ve fixed a fair number of paint jobs on some of my figures when I’ve needed too.

I hope that this has been really helpful to you if you need to repair a figure.
